Citizens Insurance in Florida - anyone actually get a claim paid?

After getting dropped by my third private insurer Im now on Citizens. Theyve been around for a while but I keep hearing horror stories about claims. Just had some roof damage from a storm and Im dreading the process.

Anyone in Florida actually had a positive experience with Citizens? What should I expect? Already got three contractor estimates like the policy says.
