Claim denied for "pre-existing damage" but the damage is clearly from the storm
We had a major hailstorm last month that tore up our roof. Filed a claim, adjuster came out, and now theyre saying the damage was "pre-existing wear and tear." The roof is only 8 years old and was in perfect condition before the storm.
We have photos from a home inspection 6 months ago showing no issues. Is that enough to fight this? Should I get an independent inspection?
First time dealing with a denied claim and I have no idea what the process is for an appeal.
