Denied claim overturned on appeal - $47,000 roof replacement approved!

Sharing this for anyone who got a denial and feels hopeless. Our roof claim was denied twice before we won on the third appeal.

What finally worked: hired an independent inspector who documented everything with a drone, got a detailed engineer's report showing the damage was consistent with the hailstorm date, and had our contractor provide a line-by-line estimate matching the insurance company's format.

The third appeal included a letter from our state representative's office (they have consumer advocacy staff who help with insurance disputes for free). Within 3 weeks of submitting that appeal, our claim was approved for $47,200.

DONT GIVE UP. The insurance company counts on people accepting the first denial.
