Filed my first auto claim and the process was surprisingly painless

Backed into a pole in a parking lot like an idiot. Crushed my rear bumper and tail light. Filed a claim expecting it to be a nightmare based on everything I read online.

Honestly? It was fine. Called my insurance, they had a mobile adjuster come to my house the next day, approved the repair estimate within 48 hours, and I dropped my car at the body shop that same week.

Total cost to me was my $500 deductible. Car was fixed in 5 days. Maybe I got lucky or maybe State Farm is just decent for simple claims? Not every claim is a horror story I guess.
