Freeze damage claim process in Fairbanks - what I learned

Just went through a frozen pipe claim here in Fairbanks and wanted to share what worked for me. The temps hit -45 in January and even with heat tape one of our lines froze and burst.

Key things that helped my claim: 1) documented that heat was on and working, 2) had receipts for the heat tape installation, 3) took lots of photos immediately. Adjuster tried to say it was maintenance issue but I pushed back with documentation.

Ended up getting full coverage minus deductible. About $12k in damage total.
