Got hit by an uninsured driver - here is what happened

Some guy blew through a stop sign and T-boned me. No insurance. No license. He ran from the scene but a witness got his plate number.

Thank god I had uninsured motorist coverage. My insurance paid for car repairs ($14,000), my ER visit, and 8 weeks of physical therapy. Without UM coverage I would have been totally screwed because you cant get blood from a stone - this guy has nothing.

PSA: if you dont have uninsured motorist coverage, GET IT. Its usually cheap to add and its the best money I ever spent on insurance. Ive been paying $12/month for it for years and it literally saved me $20,000+.
