Great Lakes flooding claim in Michigan - NFIP came through

Lake levels have been crazy and we finally had flooding reach our basement. Good news is we had flood insurance through NFIP (not required for our zone but got it anyway).

Claim process was actually reasonable. Filed online, adjuster came within 2 weeks, check arrived in about 45 days. For anyone on the Great Lakes in Michigan - flood insurance is cheap if youre not in a high risk zone and clearly worth having. Paid about $400/year and got $35k claim paid.
