Hurricane damage from 6 months ago still not resolved

Our house got hit hard in the last hurricane. Roof damage, water intrusion, the whole thing. Insurance sent an adjuster within weeks but then... nothing.

Theyve been "processing" for 6 months. Meanwhile our roof has a tarp on it and were getting more water damage. What can we do to speed this up?
