Idaho winter roof collapse - weight of snow claim

Our porch roof collapsed from snow load this winter. Good news is insurance covered it as the policy includes weight of ice and snow. Process was actually pretty smooth.

For Idaho folks - make sure your policy specifically includes snow load coverage. Some basic policies apparently exclude it. Also learned that if you have a flat or low-slope roof you need to be extra careful about snow removal to not void coverage.
