Adjuster lowballed my burst pipe claim by 60% - public adjuster worth it?
In February a pipe burst in my wall while i was at work. By the time i got home there was standing water in the living room, bedroom, and it got into the crawlspace. I have a standard homeowners policy and thought it would be covered.
The adjuster gave me an estimate of $8,200. Two contractors i got to look at it quoted $19,500 and $21,000. There's a massive gap and i honestly don't know if i should hire a public adjuster, get a lawyer, or just push back myself. I have tons of photos and both contractor estimates. What would you do?
