What I learned from my first major storm claim

Tree fell on our house during a storm last year. First time dealing with a major claim and I made some mistakes early on. Sharing what I learned for anyone going through this.

Document EVERYTHING before any cleanup. Take videos, get written estimates from multiple contractors, and keep every receipt. I almost lost out on thousands because I didnt keep good records at first.
