Finally settled my roof claim after 8 months - here's what actually worked

They filed an internal appeal with the insurer, brought in an independent inspector, and documented every single piece of damage with photos and measurements. Three months later the insurer agreed to a $14,800 settlement.

Not full replacement cost but i'll take it over $3,200. Document everything from day one, don't accept the first offer, and don't be afraid to appeal. You have more power than they want you to think.
