Adjuster says only 8 shingles need replacing after hail storm - my roofer says it's a total replacement

We got hammered by a hail storm in March. Golf ball size, lasted about 20 minutes. I had two different roofing contractors come out and both said the same thing: the roof is a total loss. Impact damage across the entire field of shingles, bruising on the flashing, dented gutters. Both quoted a full replacement at around $14,000 for my 1,800 sq ft ranch.

The insurance adjuster came out last week, spent about 25 minutes on the roof, and sent me an estimate for $1,840. He says there are "8 impacted shingles" that need spot replacement and that the rest of the damage is "normal wear and granule loss consistent with age." My roof is 9 years old. It was in perfectly good shape before this storm.

I have photos and video from both roofers showing what they're calling functional damage across the whole surface. One of them circled over 80 individual impact points on a grid diagram. The adjuster's report mentions none of that. How do I fight this? My policy is with Farmers.
