My car lost $5k in value after their driver hit me and insurance offers nothing

Got hit by an insured driver. Car was repaired but now it has an accident on its history. Carfax shows it, value dropped significantly.

Filed a diminished value claim and they offered me $500. The actual value loss is at least $5k. This is ridiculous.
