Roof claim denied - adjuster says damage is from 'wear and tear' but I have neighbors who got paid for the same storm

We had a pretty bad hailstorm come through our neighborhood about six weeks ago. I saw a bunch of my neighbors getting their roofs inspected and a few have already started repairs covered by insurance. I filed a claim too, went through the same process - adjuster came out, walked the roof for about 20 minutes, and then I got a letter saying the damage was attributed to "normal wear and tear and deterioration" and not the storm event. Claim denied.

My roof is 11 years old, which I know isn't brand new, but I had it inspected by a roofing company after the adjuster left and they found clear hail impact marks on the shingles in a pattern consistent with what we got hit with. Three of my direct neighbors - same street, same storm - had their claims approved and are getting new roofs. My adjuster and their adjusters were from the same company.

I've never dealt with a denied claim before and I'm honestly not sure where to start. I filed an appeal but the letter I sent was basically just "I disagree with this." I know I need to do better than that. Anyone been through a situation like this where the denial seems to contradict what everyone else in the area experienced?
